Well hopefully you won't have to bang too hard, 'cause it's Friday! Thank gawd. Really though, no other skin condition (besides maybe acne) can make you want to bang your head more than Melasma ( hyperpigmentation of the skin). If you've read my blog at all, you know that the most effective treatment to date is the prescription retinoid/hydroquinone/cortisone trifecta Triluma. Problem is, the bleaching agent hydroquinone is not without controversy (like being banned in OTC beauty products in Europe for fear of causing cancer).
Say hello to Lumixyl during your next visit to the dermatologist. This non-toxic, non-irritating synthetic peptide formula uses naturally occurring amino acids to target discoloration and dark spots on the skin. Clinical studies showed a 40% improvement in participants melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (..like fresh acne scars), sun spots and photo damage...and probably the best part about Lumixyl is that it is approved for longterm use (you're only supposed to use Triluma for up to 8 weeks.).

But is Lumixyl worth the $120 price tag (gulp)? We shall see (or I shall see)...I've got a couple of weeks left of my Triluma prescription (which set me back by about $140..I know, I know) but after that I'll be moving on to Lumixyl. I love being your guinea pig. I'll keep you posted.
Be Beautiful Y'all....
